They say opposites attract.
What I don’t think they understand though is the gentle pull we feel toward people who think like us. People who wonder, speak, dream, breathe similarly to us. These people are the people we often find ourselves dreaming about at night when everything around us seems a little broken, a little disheveled. They often find themselves lost on the same trains of thought, the same islands, and the same paths as us when we often need a compass to find our ways back home. What a lot of people don’t remember though is the comfort we find in our homes. If home is where we find comfort, and the people who wonder, speak, dream, and breathe like us are where we find comfort, then aren’t we already home?
